Jim discovered satisfaction and motivation in the field of construction in the mid-eighties, and recruited Susan to assist him with creating and operating Chrisman Construction. They incorporated the company in January 1985. Jim built the business through establishing relationships with Boulder businesses, referral clients, subcontractors, and through related entities.
Jim is semi-retired due to the fact that he has Multiple Sclerosis. However, Jim is still active in the company's direction and growth through consultation with staff members. Jim was active in construction projects and daily business operations until 1999.Jim is a Boulder native and met his wife, Susan at Boulder High School in the seventies. They were married in 1984 and have two grown children, Valerie and Scot. Jim has been active in the non-profit community and as awareness activist/fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis.
